The trickiest part about flu shots isn’t that they involve needles or visiting a clinic but rather how they are made. Often people ask, “Why do I need a yearly flu shot?” It’s a common question that many Passport Health clients ask on a regular basis, whether it is in a clinic or at an on-site event. Louis Pasteur, a French scientist and inventor of the pasteurization process used in milk and wine today, developed a rabies vaccine after extensive trials on rabbits and dogs. However, by July 1885, he had never tested it on a human being. Or, that was the case until an emergency arose on July 6th of that year.
