One of the amazing things about exploring new places with children is that they are curious and eager to learn. They can absorb the history, culture, and flavors of the destinations, which can expand their imagination and knowledge in ways beyond their wildest dreams. Where’s Waldo
This fun cartoon adaptation of the beloved book series of the same name follows the adventures of Waldo and Wenda. Together, they travel around the globe trying to collect magic keys to join an international travel society so that may someday become “Wizard Level” travelers. Their journeys take them all over the world, from Japan to New Zealand and far beyond that. It touches on different cultures, important information about their destinations, and more.

Let’s Go Luna
In this colorful cartoon, Luna, a moon who is always on the go with her parent’s traveling troupe, takes viewers on exciting, global adventures. She is accompanied by three friends on her journey – Carmen the butterfly, Andy the frog, and Leo the wombat. Together, they explore various cultures and traditions during their journeys. Luna and her friends have visited various places, such as volcanoes, Scotland, and learned about Vikings and the Loch Ness Monster. You name it, and Luna has probably visited it with her friends!

Justin Time
While this cartoon is from 2012, it is still very pertinent to traveling! Justin, along with his imaginary friends Squidgy and Olive go on all kinds of imaginary adventures that will get your kids engaged, too! Justin and his friends go on adventures that are historical in nature and take the viewers on the journey with Justin. He visits everywhere from Spain to an African jungle, teaches about other cultures, and helps kids learn about themselves along the way.

Carmen Sandiego
Many parents today will likely remember Carmen Sandiego as the thief that steals back items for good from the video game that bears her name, or perhaps might remember her from the 1990s game show. Carmen has certainly done her fair share of traveling, and it looks like she has not stopped. Carmen visits a variety of destinations around the world from Morroco to Amsterdam. She and her sidekicks tour some really incredible destinations, opening up a whole new world for children to view!
