A health care professional and entrepreneur, Fran Lessans shares her story of turning a concept into a nationwide profitable franchised business network.   Her journey is detailed with obstacles she had to overcome and is presented with humor and candor.  As a seasoned serial entrepreneur she offers sound practical step-by-step advice on how to build, expand and maintain a business even in tough economic times.  She has been a keynote speaker and panelist at national conferences including World Religious Travel Expo, National Association of Women Business Owners and World Vaccine Congress among others.

Lessans is founder, president and chief executive officer of Passport Health and has dedicated herself to the travel medicine and vaccine business.   Renowned for her expertise, Lessans has provided specialty vaccine training programs for the Department of Defense and the Health Ministry of Singapore.  She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Maryland School of Nursing and is currently serving as a board member.     Lessans is the recipient of multiple business awards including Innovator of the Year in 2005, Bravo Entrepreneur Award in 2005, Ernst & Young Regional Entrepreneur of the Year Winner in 2006, and Maryland’s Top 100 Women in 2007. Contact Fran

Peter Savage spent fifteen years in the CIA as a clandestine officer stationed in Brazil and Argentina.  After leaving the CIA, Savage designed crisis management plans for corporations and executives who travel abroad extensively.  He is the author of The Safe Travel Book, now in a 15th printing and third edition. 

Savage has appeared on Oprah and Geraldo shows and has been a speaker at both local and national venues.  Savage holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard, a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania and was a Fulbright Scholar. Contact Peter
